Hi, my name is

Trevor de Koekkoek

Front-End Architect

01

About

Front-End Architect focused on building scalable, well-structured Angular applications with a strong eye for user experience. Deep expertise in modern state management (NgRx SignalStore, Signals, RxJS) and modular architecture patterns, with a performance-conscious approach (OnPush, zoneless rendering, Apollo query optimization) that supports — not overshadows — clean design and usability. Architected enterprise mapping platforms, trading systems, custom low-code systems, and full-stack SSR applications, with an increasingly AI-driven development workflow using Claude Code — orchestrating context, architecture, and implementation rather than just generating code.

When he's not deep in Angular architecture, Trevor can be found on the water rowing, out cycling, or playing flute at local open mics and jam sessions.

AI-Driven Development

Not just using AI to write code — using it to orchestrate development.

Trevor's workflow with Claude Code centers on deliberate context engineering rather than ad-hoc prompting. Each project maintains a CLAUDE.md file capturing business logic, current tasks, and project-specific context — giving Claude Code the grounding it needs to work accurately within a real codebase, not just generate generic code.

Architecture and data-flow decisions are worked out first as Mermaid diagrams — both as a planning tool before implementation, and as living documentation that stays attached to the codebase afterward. This keeps architectural intent visible and reviewable, for Trevor and for Claude Code alike.

He's also exploring reusable Claude Skills — encoding specific development patterns and conventions as repeatable, structured guidance — as a next step in scaling this workflow across projects.

Featured Projects

gigawhat.live live-music discovery platform showing venues and events on a map
Founder & Architect
Problem
Live-music discovery is fragmented across ticketing sites, social feeds, and venue pages — there was no single, fast place to explore what is happening at nearby venues.
What I built
A full-stack Angular SSR platform that maps venues and events geographically, with Claude-powered content automation keeping listings fresh and richly described.
  • Angular SSR
  • Mapbox
  • Google Places
  • Apollo / GraphQL
  • Claude API
Snapmarks new-tab page with a masonry grid of visual bookmarks
Founder & Developer
Problem
Traditional bookmark managers bury links in folders and lists — visual recall and quick access get lost, especially across devices.
What I built
A Chrome extension that replaces the new-tab page with a customizable masonry grid of visual bookmarks, with Pro monetization and a backend for cross-device sync.
  • WXT
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Hasura
  • FusionAuth
Planios software development management platform showing the Project Explorer and instant search
Founder & Architect
Problem
Legacy software development management tools are bloated and slow, burying projects, epics, stories, bugs, tasks, and requirement docs behind heavy navigation.
What I built
A fast, discoverable management platform built on a unified object model — instant search across every entity, plus an integrated Project Explorer for drilling into any project section without losing context. Not a Jira clone; lean where legacy tools are bloated.

  • Custom Low-Code
  • Unified Object Model
